The Future of the Care Economy: Building the Infrastructure to Support Women and Working Families
by Olivia Kronemeyer
On September 28th, 2022, we joined forces with Springbank Collective and Stardust Equity to convene NYC impact investors to hear from a panel of passionate female founders whose unique lived experiences have inspired them to build category-defining companies in the $648M and growing Care Economy.
State of the Care Economy
Today, more than one in five Americans (21.3%) are family caregivers, having provided unpaid care to an adult or child with special needs at some time in the past 12 months. This totals an estimated 53M adults in the United States, and does not even include parents of young children who are caregiving.
