New Orleans Dinner: Stories and Visions for How Impact Investing Can Create a More Just Society.
May 29, 2019
On May 7, Gratitude Railroad had the opportunity to co-host a community dinner in New Orleans with Camelback Ventures and Align Impact.
Together we convened 30 leaders from across the New Orleans and greater investment ecosystem to the enjoy an evening of 15 Toasts to Impact. Inspired by Priya Parker’s, 15 Toast Dinner Series, we shared our stories and visions for how impact can create a more just society.
Capturing the spirt of the high-profile gatherings model, 15 Toasts to Impact invited guests to bring their full selves into a space of open dialogue, self-reflection and meaningful exchange. Each guest was invited to share his or her own “Day 1” of impact, reflecting on the impetus that has given strength to each person’s current trajectory in the field of impact investing.
Held at New Orleans Culinary and Hospitality Institute, the participative discussion brought about authenticity, vulnerability and connectivity. Discussion spanned issues in business, government, and society, touching on personal experiences of belonging, access, inclusivity and hope.
We extend our warmest gratitude to our co-hosts for their support for making the evening possible!
